My first visit to the Great Sand Dunes National Park was in November 2001, when I convinced my friend Dave Vetter to come on down with me for the ride. I was using my old and now totally obsolete Mavica digital camera, and here are the best pictures that I took. |

Now I must admit that I remember this day like no other, for it was the day of Game 6 of the World Series between New York and Arizona. I missed most of the game because of the trip, but it didn't matter, because the Diamondbacks won huge that day. |
