June 18, 2007 - My visit last evening to the Great Sand Dunes was a particularly special one. It was fairly cloudy and my photos of the dunes were far from the greatest, but it was how I got to the dunes that made this special: I had just biked my first century ride beginning in Buena Vista to reach here! The other big news was the glaring farmer's tan I received from the day. :)

	Special thanks to Derek and Anna for driving from Salida to pick me up and take me back home. This was Anna's very first visit to the Great Sand Dunes.

So what did we do? Oh, we walked around casually, enjoyed the refreshing water coming down Medano Creek ... and we played frisbee! :)
